The Borrower Who Says They're 'Good for It'

I’ve had a borrower come in recently insisting that his business is ‘good for it’ when it comes to loans. It’s like, sure, you might have a flashy storefront, but when your financial statements look like a game of Jenga, I’m not convinced! Anyone else had a laugh when clients downplay their debt like it’s nothing?

Haha I feel you! When they say their financials are ‘good for it’ but they look like a Jenga tower, it just drives me nuts. I once had a client with a nice website but buried in debt — definitely didn’t match the shiny image.

It’s wild how some clients think just shaking their magic 8-ball will bring them loans. I find a solid credit check usually brings back reality! Ever had to pull out the numbers to set someone straight?
