The joys of credit score humor

Ever notice how a client’s credit score is like a bad joke? You laugh, but you also can’t believe it’s real. Just last week, I had someone with a score so low, I thought it was an international benchmark for how not to manage finances. Makes you wonder if they thought ‘diversification’ meant having a variety of overdue bills.

Credit scores really can feel like a punchline sometimes, can’t they? I had a client who thought paying a bill late was a ‘strategic delay’ — talk about confusion! It’s tough, but helping them understand the basics of credit utilization can make a big difference.

You’re right about that! I’ve had clients who seemed to treat their credit like a game of hot potato — always passing it off instead of tackling it. If they only knew improving that score could be their winning strategy! @m_price2020, do you think a credit education workshop could help clear things up for some of them?

It’s wild how often clients confuse basic credit terms — one thought a ‘hard inquiry’ was just a strong opinion! The basics of credit utilization can make a big difference, especially if they can keep their balances low. Just make sure they understand it’s not just about paying bills on time, but also keeping that ratio in check.
